Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. You asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’ It is I—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me. You said, ‘Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.’ I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.” —Job 42:1-6
Do we talk about things that we truly don’t understand, but talk about them as if we do? As I sit here and watch the rain gently coming down, do I really understand water and where it comes from? Ok, yes we understand evaporation, cloud formation, but where did all this water come from initially? Evolutionists will jump through hoops to explain the origination of how water came to be, but those of us who know the Lord Jesus understand how water came about. It is not by our own thoughts that we understand this, but according to His Word —“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible” (Hebrews 11:3; Genesis 1:1). “God comes in awesome majesty. The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power (Job 37:22-23). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faiLQCuoskM
“Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?” (Job 38:2). Do we cause His plans to become muddled because of our lack of understanding and trying to figure things out for ourselves according to our desires? The wicked are denied their light” (v.15). Unsaved people look at creation and don’t have a clue. They come up with all kinds of dark ideas of origins because they do not see the light that creation gives (Psalm 19:1-4). They cannot understand the clear communication creation brings. But we who know Jesus understand because we trust His Word. May we cling to His Word, speak His Word and not speak our own ideas. May what we speak be founded upon His Word. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF27EczT_pU
Dear Father, I am only a man and a speck of dust in Your sight. Truly it is amazing that You would even consider me, even love me, but I thank You that You do. May I truly seek to be obedient to You, loving You and thanking You for all You have done for me through my Lord Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power.
