LOVE!
If anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed. —I Corinthians 16:22 This is a very strong statement, but of course it is true. The greatest command is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind” (Matthew 22:37). Obedience to His commands shows our love for Him (John 14:21). The person who loves is born of God and is exhibiting God’s character (I John 4:7-8). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKF7sBxv1-o Those who do not love the Lord love other things. They have a god of their own making and have gone aside to follow Satan whether they realized it or not. They are…

BEWARE OF THE COMPANY YOU KEEP!
Bad company corrupts good character. —I Corinthians 15:33 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? —II Corinthians 6:14 We are not to be isolated from unbelievers because they need to hear the gospel (I Corinthians 5:9-10), but we are not to be yoked with them. To be yoked is to spend too much time with them going where they go, doing what they are doing. There can be a corrosive effect on the believer who spends too much time with bad company. “If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to…

WORDS THAT BUILD UP
The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain. —Proverbs 10:11 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. —Ephesians 4:29 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. —Colossians 4:6 Do the words that we use bring life? Are they good and helpful? Are they encouraging? Are they full of grace? As we come into contact with a variety of people today and this week, may our words be Spirit led to minister to them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-0EgzOWkvc&index=98&list=PLcHqC9YNzSaD-O-rkP9o8hDA9jJ_oja4l Dear Father,…

THE LOVE OF GOD
The greatest of these is love. —I Corinthians 13:13 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance (I Corinthians 13:4-7). The world, the flesh and the devil are unloving, impatient, unkind, jealous, boastful, proud and rude. They demand their own way, are irritable, keep record of wrongs, rejoice in injustice, do not rejoice when truth wins…

THE BODY OF CHRIST
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. —I Corinthians 12:12-13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqO4PZ9iaKA My church is better than your church! What? Let’s think about that statement for a moment. Here is what that statement is saying— My Body of Christ is better than your Body of Christ! Really? We need to think about what we saying from a Biblical perspective and not…

CHANGE ME!
So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself. That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died. But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so…

THE GLORY OF THE KING
I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. —Psalm 145:5 He feeds every living creature every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year, every decade, every century, every millennial and until time is no more. He gives breath to every living creature every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year, every decade, every century, every millennial and until time is no more. He has set the boundaries of the oceans for second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year, every decade, every century, every millennial and until time is…

DIE TO SELF AND SERVE!
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Don’t give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God. I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved. —I Corinthians 10:31-33 Do I seek to just do what is best for me or do I seek what is best for others that they may trust the Lord Jesus Christ? How do you and I serve others and do we do so out of loving gratitude to…

LISTEN AND OBEY!
These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age. —I Corinthians 10:11 Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. —Romans 15:4 God’s Word has examples for us to warn us. His Word teaches us. His Word gives us hope. His Word gives us encouragement. His Word will be fulfilled. Followers of Jesus are to be patient. This will happen. We are heed the warnings, learn, have hope and be encouraged. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkHqaBxPoAM&list=PLKYBweMzuOpuCoxDusndrTXtdapHDaxew&index=1 Is…

GIVE THANKS!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. —Psalm 136:1 Fellow follower of Jesus we are told that God’s love endures forever. We have so much to thank Him for. I am so thankful that He has given us His Word! I was singing a song to my grand-daughter yesterday as I was swinging her on her swing. Making up the song as I went along I sang about knowing His existence, His awesomeness, His power and vastness by looking at what He created (Psalm 19:1-4; Romans 1:20). But, I could not have relationship with Him without His Word. I could know He created…
