EXTEND THE MERCY AND FORGIVENESS THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED!

 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ —Matthew 18:33

             Let us just remember how much our Lord has forgiven us and the mercy He has shown us.  If we do so they we are more apt to extend forgiveness and mercy toward others.  We need to have a proper perspective of ourselves.  For all of us who have called on the Lord Jesus to be saved from our sin to a relationship with Him have been forgiven a great debt.  Surely we can forgive others when they sin against us.  If we cannot then we do not truly understand or appreciate what we have been forgiven.  If we cannot extend mercy and forgive others then we do not have a proper perspective of ourselves.  We are elevating ourselves as better than another.  This is a false view of self.

            Extending mercy and forgiveness not only frees the person being forgiven, but it frees us as well.  If we cannot forgive then we are in a type of self-bondage and this impacts our lives in a negative way.  Is there someone you are not extending mercy and forgiveness to?  You need to remember the mercy and forgiveness our Lord God Almighty has extended to you!  Then extend it to others! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b07AIQA3_00

Dear Father may I be like You and extend mercy and forgiveness to others.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!
