THE HIGHEST PLACE

When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. —Numbers 15:39

Indeed, is the Lord God Almighty given the highest place in our lives? Are we being obedient to Him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z_OoO_3suQ Or, are we following our own desires and defiling ourselves as the flesh is prone to do?

Jesus said in John 14:21 that “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” To truly love Jesus is to be obedient to what He has to say to us. Not only that, but to truly love God’s children is to “love God and obey his commands” (I John 5:2). Jesus said, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).

Dear Father, may I be obedient to whatever You desire of me. Help me to know Your specific desires and then be faithful in them. May this be done in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus my Lord.
