PRAY

“Pray that you will not give in to temptation.” —Luke 22:40

“Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.” —Luke 22:46

The context of this question was directly related to prayer. As stated in the link above, Australia began fasting and praying for the United States today. They will do so for 7 days! Should we not join with them?

Prayer was removed from the public schools here in America in 1962. Then the next year the Bible was removed. In 1980 the Ten Commandments were removed. America is reaping the consequences of its disobedience.

I have been to Australia. It is amazing that they still have Bible teaching as part of their school curriculum. It is expected that the Bible will be taught as part of the school day. Anti-God forces are always at work. Will we fall to our knees to seek God for this country or just be complacent? Faith is directly connected with prayer. Would Jesus find faith in your life and mine? Would He find us praying… or sleeping?

Dear Father, may You be pleased to do a new thing in this country that would bring honor and glory to Your Name. May this be so in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power.
