A CHANGED LIFE GIVES EVIDENCE OF THAT CHANGE
If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever. But look, you are trusting in deceptive words that are worthless. —Jeremiah 7:5-8
He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. They would not be like their ancestors— a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him. —Psalm 78:5-8
When a person or people have changed hearts, this will be seen in their actions—
- They will deal with each other justly
- They will not oppress the foreigner
- They will not oppress the fatherless
- They will not oppress the widow
- They will not shed innocent blood
- They will not follow others gods
- They will trust in the truth
- They will listen to words of value
- They will teach their children the Word of God
- They will have children that teach their children the Word of God
- They will trust in God
- They will not forget His deeds
- They will be obedient
- They will not be stubborn
- They will not be rebellious
- They will be loyal to God
- They will be faithful to God
So, have you had your heart changed by God? If so, these characteristics will be true in your life as well. May this be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus and be all for Your honor and glory and for the benefit of many others. So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8TCZiy5A2A&list=RDp8TCZiy5A2A&start_radio=1
