DON’T GIVE UP!

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” —II Chronicles 15:7

             What was said of King Asa can be said of we followers of Jesus as well— “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (I Corinthians 15:58).  So, don’t “become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).  And “The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor… and so “If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. (I Corinthians 3:8, 14).  So, don’t give up!

This work cannot be done in our own strength.  Our Lord has to do it and “it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13).  Yes, He works in us so we have the desire to do His will for His purposes.  So, how is He guiding you?  He is looking “throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” (II Chronicles 16:9).  Are you one of those people?  If so, the work He has called you to “does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy” (Romans 9:16).  So, trust Him to do what He desires to do in and through You— be fully committed to His will.  Yes, Dear Father, this is my desire and so may it be by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  Oh, draw many to Jesus through me by Your power for Your glory and for the benefit of many others who will also bring glory to Your Name by bearing much fruit.  So may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpbZqMJ-B44&list=RDbpbZqMJ-B44&start_radio=1
