TRUST THERE WILL BE A HARVEST THROUGH THE SCATTERED SEED/WORD

He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground.  Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.  All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.  As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” —Mark 4:26-29

             Let us be faithful in sharing God’s Word with people.  We “scatter the seed” of God’s Word into people’s lives.  Then, “Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.”  The Holy Spirit of God works through His Word “scattered” in a person’s life.  We don’t know exactly how that works, but we know it is the Spirit of God that enlightens people to understand His Word.

             What a joy it is to see seed that has sprouted in the soil and the green stalk of the plant push upward.  So too we rejoice when a person who has heard God’s Word comes to the point of “sprouting” as they have called on Jesus to save them (Romans 10:13; John 14:1-6; Acts 4:12).  We don’t fully understand this, but we know God does it.  We do not have the power to cause seed in a garden to sprout nor the Word of God to sprout in a person’s life.  But we can put seed into the ground and the Word into a person’s life.  Then the Holy Spirit of God needs to water it as our Father draws that sprouting from the seed/Word.  Dear Father, be pleased to draw many in this immediate area, region and beyond that have had the seed/Word planted in their lives— family members, friends, neighbors and those that we have only seen once.  May You do this by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Precious Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE_PNUNmw9c&list=RDrE_PNUNmw9c&start_radio=1
