COME TO JESUS TO BE HEALED FROM YOUR SINFULNESS!
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” —Mark 2:17
I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin. The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. —Psalm 36:1-4
Jesus “came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst” (I Timothy 1:15). Indeed, He “came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). But you cannot help someone who is sick when they think they are not sick. And, you cannot help a sinner if they think they are already righteous.
Here’s the message from God…
- The wicked are sinful
- They do not fear God
- They flatter themselves
- They do not detect their sin
- They do not hate their sin
- The words of their mouth are wicked
- The words of their mouth are deceitful
- They fail to act wisely
- They fail to do good
- They plot evil on their bed
- They commit themselves to a sinful course
- They do not reject what is wrong
So if a person does not see their need, if they are “all set,” then they cannot be saved. If a person does not recognize their sinful sickness, then they will not come to the Great Physician—Jesus. But if a person does call on Jesus to forgive them, then they will be forgiven and come into relationship with God through Him.
