THE REBELLIOUS WILL BE JUDGED!

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth… Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”  So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. —Genesis 11:4, 7-8

The arrogant cannot stand in your presence.  You hate all who do wrong… —Psalm 5:5

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?  The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” —Psalm 2:1-3

But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you— when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. —Proverbs 1:24-27

Man has a sinful tendency to do his own thing and to rebel against what our Lord desires.  Right from Adam and Eve to our present time, man wants to do what man wants to do.  Adam and Eve tried to hide when they did evil.  Cain tried to hide the brother he killed.  By Noah’s day “every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time” (Genesis 6:5) and our Lord destroyed the world that existed at that time.  “Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark” (Genesis 7:23).

After that judgment in Noah’s day, God once again gave the same command He had given to Adam and Eve— ““Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1; 1:28).  As mankind once again flourished in number, instead of being obedient to God’s command, they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”  But individuals, peoples or nations cannot stand “together against the Lord and against his anointed.”  Man thinks distortedly when they say, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.”  In reality, they need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).

Our Lord God Almighty hates all who do wrong and if they do not repent, they will eventually be judged.  Yes, those who do not want to listen to Him, those who do not want to take His advice, those who do not accept His rebuke will be judged.  Praise the Lord, brother and sister, fellow follower/disciple of Jesus, we will never be condemned because we accepted the finished work of Jesus on the cross for us.  But, if you are reading this and have not called on Jesus yet, then you are in danger of judgment— not just a temporal judgment, but also an eternal judgment.  Call on Jesus now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F_Bbjfe4gE&t=20s Dear Father, if there are any reading this today that have not called on Jesus, may they do so now by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may it be so!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcmqSfr1ENY&list=RDPcmqSfr1ENY&start_radio=1
