THE MESSAGE OF HIS WORD WILL FLOURISH ONLY WITH HIS HELP

He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’ —Acts 11:13-14

But the word of God continued to spread and flourish. —Acts 12:24

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. —Psalm 124:8

            We can do nothing that will glorify God and last forever without abiding in Jesus (John 15:5).  Truly, “Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”  Oh, to have His help!  How wonderful it is to know that the One who created all things desires to help us and with His help “the word of God continued to spread and flourish” in the early church.  Surely, He can do the same thing today.  It is said of Peter— “He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.”  Dear Father, be pleased to open the door of the gospel now as you did then.  May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus as You did then, so be it now!  All for You honor and glory and for the benefit of many, many others.  Yes, may the word of God continue to spread and flourish.
