BLESSED OR STIFF-NECKED
BLESSED OR STIFF-NECKED
He (king Zedekiah) became stiff-necked and hardened his heart and would not turn to the Lord, the God of Israel. —II Chronicles 36:13
“Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble” (Proverbs 298:18). Which are you? King Zedekiah was “stiff-necked and hardened his heart and would not turn to the Lord, the God of Israel.” What a dangerous and destructive place to be. The end of that hard-heartedness and unwillingness to turn to the Lord God Almighty, well, then the end is—
“A great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” —Revelation 20:11-15
How does your name get written in the “book of life?”
“He (Jesus) replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.” —Luke 10:18-24
If the Father is calling you to come under the authority of His Son, do so and do not resist His Holy Spirit. So not be “stiff-necked.” Do not be “unwilling” to come to the Lord. Trust Him today! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=104s Dear Father, may this be so for any who may be reading this and have not yet called on Jesus. May they do so now by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Precious Son Jesus. All for Your glory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsathUyznTw&list=RDnsathUyznTw&start_radio=1
