BY FAITH…

BY FAITH…

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. —Hebrews 11:1

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. —Hebrews 11:6

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. —Hebrews 11:13

Do we see ourselves as strangers and exiles on the earth?  This is not our home, nor is it the home of any follower of Jesus.  Is this our mindset?  Are we putting roots down too deep and have become distracted away from our destiny.  Where is our faith directed?

We know from His Word that “without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”  Are we drawing near to God?  Do we really believe that He exists?  Are we convinced that He rewards those who seek Him?  If we say “yes” — are we living like our convictions?

So many faithful followers of the past died without receiving the promises, “but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.”  Is this truly our mindset?  Do we truly have “faith?”  Are we assured “of things hoped for” as seen in His Word?  Do we truly have “the convictions of things not seen” as mentioned in His Word?  Are we fully convinced of His Word?

I am not sure about you, but I am placing my eternal destiny on His Word, His Son.  May you as well and then may we faithfully live out that faith for His honor and glory and for the benefit of others and ourselves.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, oh, may this be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxTOsQ3LDE4
