FEAR NOT DEATH!
FEAR NOT DEATH!
But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. —Hebrews 2:9
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. —Hebrews 2:14-15
Death brings tears, sadness and sorrow. Oh, how many tears, how much sadness and sorrow has occurred ever since Adam and Eve sinned. But then, the plan from eternity past was unveiled and Jesus came. How astounding is it that Jesus, the blameless, sinless Son of God came by the grace of God to taste death for every person. Oh Yes, Jesus “was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem” (Isaiah 53:3). He did all this for us!
He took on a body like our body and it was through His death that He destroyed “the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.” We need not fear death. We have been delivered from this slavery to it by Jesus. Rejoice! https://youtu.be/oJ5uPobxRjg?t=117
Thank You, Dear Father, that I do not need to fear death. Oh, what a joy it will be to gather with Jesus and all who love Him on the other side of death. May I be faithful, with the time I have left, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, so may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-odIIQORQ4
