PONDER HIS WORK!

PONDER HIS WORK!

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. —Psalm 77:11-12

Remember how our Lord has worked and His wonders, past, present and what is coming in the future.  Ponder them, meditate on His deeds.  In doing so we cannot help but praise His Name.

Creation— what a joy it is to be outside enjoying what He has made.  How wonderful is our eye He designed that gives us the opportunity to enjoy color.  It is a marvel that he has given us the ability in His design to taste and smell— strawberries, blueberries, raspberries are such a joy to eat fresh.  Oh, to smell the roses and so many other flowers at this time of year.  Yes, it is a joy and wonder to consider His works.  “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).  From what God has made, man has no excuse not to believe in God’s existence and to believe in His Son, Jesus— not excuse!

But why do people dismiss what is so obvious?  It is because of “all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Romans 1:18).  But suppressing the truth does not change the truth.  It only harms those who suppress the truth and others that are affected by those suppressing the truth.  Eternal judgment will come to them if they don’t “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).

For us who believe, we have great joy when we consider the works of His hands!  We look at design in His creation and are just amazed.  We look at how He sustains His creation and are astounded.  Consider the one flower, the one tree, the one animal, the one bird, the one fish… if we were able we could trace each one back to the original creation— the genealogy of each of them would go right back to the beginning when God first created it!

Yes, Dear Father, I am astounded and filled with joy over Your creation.  May I ponder it, learn from it and apply what I learn from it.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sgfoGoBhC8
