BE DEVOTED TO PRAYER!
BE DEVOTED TO PRAYER
And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (the company of persons was in all about 120)… —Acts 1:13-15
I have to ask, “How devoted to prayer are you and I?” Prayer is talking and listening to our Lord God Almighty. How often do we seek an audience with Him? He is available to us 34/7. Are we going to Him regularly and often?
In Hebrews 4:16 we read, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” We are needy people and need the mercy and grace of God in our lives often and always! If we do not think that is the case then we have a wrong view of ourselves and of who God is!
So again, I ask, “Who are you and I devoted together with to prayer? What are you and I devoted to? Dear Father, may we be committed to spending time talk with You and listening to you by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, may this be so and may we do so with others and encourage others to do so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_FGVDVp6b8
