BUILDING FOR THE BUILDER!
BUILDING FOR THE BUILDER!
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. —I Corinthians 3:12-15
It is so sobering to think that, one time in the future, we will “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad” (II Corinthians 5:10). Our work will be tested on that “Day” and we will be rewarded for what we have done or we will suffer loss for what we have done or not done.
We have been given responsibility by our Lord God Almighty and… “just like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted them with his possessions. To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent—each according to his own ability. And he went on his journey” (Matthew 25:14-15). He has given us responsibility according to our ability— which He has also given us. Now, how are we doing with the gifts of responsibility and ability that He has given us? Are we using and investing them for His glory? Oh, that we would be faithful to the responsibility He has given us so that we might hear— “‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’ (Matthew 25:21). Oh, this is my desire, Dear Father, to honor You. May it be so by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiS2QzvDhQc
