PRAY FOR LABORERS IN THE HARVEST AND BE ONE!

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” —Matthew 9:37-38

            According to this passage “the harvest,” Jesus said, “is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”  So then, the problem is not that there isn’t a plentiful harvest, but there are too few people working in the harvest.  What is the solution?  It is to “therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”  Whatever you are doing, will you not stop right now and pray for our Lord to send for laborers into His harvest?  Will you be one of those who is willing to be sent out into His harvest to labor?

            After Jesus said this, “These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them…” (Matthew 10:5).  The rest of the chapter are those instructions He gave them.  Jesus later also does this with the 72 others.  He had just said to them that “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”  Then He told them to “Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves” and gave further instructions to them (Luke 10:1-3).

            Jesus tells us to pray for laborers to go into His harvest.  But then, will we be one of those laborers in His harvest?  https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=name+of+jesus+

Oh Father, may I not only pray for laborers in the harvest, but may I be one by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May it be so!
