HAVING PEACE
HAVING PEACE
“There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.” —Isaiah 57:21
Satan’s lie is we can be fulfilled by not following God. But this is obviously not true. There are so many that are seeking peace in their lives, but they are seeking in all the wrong places. Peace with God only comes through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1-2).
The wicked are at odds with God. As a matter of fact, for all those who do not know our Lord Jesus Christ, they are “enemies of God” (Romans 5:10). God knows all people and He knows that “there is no peace for the wicked.”
Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, think of all the people around you that do not have peace because they do not know the Prince of Peace, Jesus. We have the answer and may we share that answer with others. This is our job description from our Lord— “Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:20-21).
Those of us who know Jesus are His ambassadors. We are to implore others on the behalf of our Lord Jesus to be reconciled to God. Are we seeking to do so that the wicked who are not experience peace with God, but are an enemy of God can have peace that comes with knowing Jesus? Oh, may we who have that peace with God share how others can have the same! Yes, Dear Father and may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
