BE COMFORTED AND FEARLESS!
BE COMFORTED AND FEARLESS!
I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass, and have forgotten the LORD, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, and you fear continually all the day because of the wrath of the oppressor, when he sets himself to destroy? And where is the wrath of the oppressor? —Isaiah 51:12-13
Do we go to the One who desires to comfort us? Or… do we seek to self-comfort by other means? Those who do not want to trust in Jesus seek their comfort in other ways: being outwardly religious, money, job, material belongs, reputation, drugs & alcohol, sexual promiscuity, supporting some cause etc. But we as believers need none of those false comforts. We have One that surely brings comfort in any situation—
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. —II Corinthians 1:3-5

Oh, we can trust in His comfort and we do not need to fear those who “have forgotten the Lord.” No, we need to remember who we are in Jesus and be fearless of man. “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe” (Proverbs 29:25). People are people just like us. We not fear them. Don’t let man hold you back from being and doing what God desires! Sure, there are those with the “power of this world.” Still, they are only flesh and blood like we are. There is no need to fear. Remember fear is a result of the sinful, fallen world we live in (Genesis 3:10). In Jesus we need not fear! So let us live boldly! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0gu0nOaFsI&list=RDR0gu0nOaFsI&start_radio=1
Fellow follower of Jesus let us constantly remind ourselves that we belong to “the LORD, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth.” Oh, bask in His comfort and live boldly… Yes, Dear Father may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
