THE POWERFUL AND POWERLESS WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT TO GOD

Do you rulers indeed speak justly?  Do you judge people with equity?  No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth. —Psalm 58:1-2

Rulers should speak justly and they should judge with equity or fairly.  So many times, they do not.  Instead, in their hearts they devise injustice.  Injustice is something they actually plan out.  Not only that, but their hands determine the amount of violence on the earth.   This is easy to see today.  How sad it is when we do not have righteous rulers— “When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.” (Proverbs 28:28).  Now there is a good measurement of leadership— are people going into “hiding” or do the righteous thrive?”

One thing we must never forget as followers of Jesus and that is “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).  Nothing escapes the eyes of our Lord God Almighty and every single person— form the most powerful leader to the least powerful on earth who has ever lived will give an account to God!  Yes, they will and that includes you and I.

Dear Father, may I live to please You.  Forgive me of the many times I sin and fail You.  My heart’s desire is to never sin and never fail You.  I look forward to being in glory with Jesus and all who love Him.  Until then, may I seek to live faithfully for You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Jz0k6jW7sc&list=RD5Jz0k6jW7sc&start_radio=1
