REST WITH JESUS!

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” —Mark 6:31

             Life can be busy!  It is imperative that we take the time to “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”  When was the last time you did that— the last time that you went away to a quiet place with Jesus to rest?

             Hopefully you have a special time with Jesus each day.  A place where you meet with Him and are not disturbed.  A time that is restful and an unhindered time spending with Him.  Surely, we should do this as individuals, but here in this passage it is the apostles He is talking to.  He wanted the whole group together to “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”  It had been a busy time of ministry and Jesus wanted them to go away by themselves with Him and rest.

             Now, if Jesus said that to His apostles, surely it would be good for us to take time away with others with Him to rest.  Yes, Dear Father, may we do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May this be so for Your honor and glory and our benefit! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAYt88GIZSs&list=RDAAYt88GIZSs&start_radio=1
