WE BELIEVE!

Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” —Mark 3:11

When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” —Mark 3:21

And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.” —Mark 3:22

             Demons know who Jesus was/is.  When “the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, ‘You are the Son of God.’”  Yes, they know who Jesus is and they also know who will judge them in the future at an appointed time— “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” (Matthew 8:29).

             Amazingly, Jesus’ own family did not know who He was.  All that time He grew up among them and they thought “He is out of his mind” when so many people were coming to see Him.  When he was told—

“Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”  “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.  Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” —Mark 3:32-35

             Brothers and sisters, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, we are His close family!  We have believed Him and have trusted Him, even when we have not seen Him.  His family did not believe in Him at first.  Later they did.  And the religious leaders, for the most part, did not believe Him either.  In fact, they said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.” 

             How amazing that the demons know better than most people who Jesus is.  And so it is today.  But just as you and I, brothers and sisters, were drawn to Jesus (John 6:44), so there are others that are being drawn to Him as well.  Let us be on the lookout and share the gospel with them.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-xoVmDJN7g&list=RDR-xoVmDJN7g&start_radio=1
