JESUS IS ALWAYS WITH HIS DISCIPLES/FOLLOWERS

Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” —Exodus 33:15-16

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. —Psalm 33:6

For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord.  But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.” —Provers 8:35-36

What sets followers of Jesus apart from the rest of the world?  It is His presence with us!  The One who created all things, Jesus (John 1:3), is with us.  His Spirit resides in us.  This is wisdom.  A wisdom that the world does not, nor cannot, have (I Corinthians 1:20-31).  Jesus cannot be known through worldly wisdom, but only through the wisdom that God gives through His Holy Spirit.

Moses did not want to go if the Lord’s Presence did not go with them.  Brothers and sisters, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, we always have the Presence of Jesus with us— even as we are going and making disciples that obey—

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” —Matthew 28:18-20

We are also told “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” and that “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6).  Yes, as followers of Jesus, we have His favor upon us and we have found life, a full life (John 10:10).  Thank You, Dear Father, for the favor You have upon me through Jesus.  And now “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us– yes, establish the work of our hands” (Psalm 90:17).  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFvPOZ2Oay8&list=RD85I6HI2E4AA&index=2
