LOVINGLY TRUST OUR LORD

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt.” Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah and gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, to be his wife. And Joseph went throughout the land of Egypt.  Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and traveled throughout Egypt. —Genesis 41:44-46

I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. —Psalms 18:1-2

I love you Lord and I am so grateful for your lovingkindness toward me.  You are my strength.  I have none of my own.  You are in control.  You are my protection and I can trust You regardless of what is happening in my life.

This is clearly seen in Joseph’s life.  Hated by his brothers, sold into slavery by them, falsely accused and jailed and yet through it all, he served our Lord God faithfully in the circumstances he found himself in.  Regardless of his present situation, he had concern for others and served them with God’s abilities that He gave him.  Joseph went through 13 years of difficulty, but God was working and positioning Joseph exactly where he wanted him— in Egypt before a famine broke out.  And because of this, Joseph not only was raise to 2nd in command of all Egypt, but after Jacob died he told his brothers—

“Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. —Genesis 50:19-21

We might not understand all that is happening to us at the present time, but we can be assured fully that our Lord God Almighty knows all about it and is working to accomplish His will.  So, let us be faithfully serving Him in the present and trust Him to fulfill His purpose in our situation.  Will you do this?  Dear Father, may it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  I am so grateful that You are my strength and that I can trust You fully.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSAN5ObaRQg&list=RDvSAN5ObaRQg&start_radio=1
