THE HEAVENS DECLARE GOD’S GLORY
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? —Psalm 8:3-4
What do you think about when you look up into the night sky at the stars? I cannot help but think how small I am. The universe and all that is in it is the work of His fingers. He has placed the moon and stars exactly where He wanted them. For thousands of years the moon has been circling the earth just like it is presently doing. Billions of people have looked up in the night sky and wondered at it.
However grand His creation is, it speaks of the Creator who created it. We are told in John 1:3 of Jesus that “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” And in Colossians 1:16-17 of Jesus it is said that “in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Wow! This is the Savior that every follower of Jesus knows! In Hebrews 1:2 it is said of Jesus that “through whom also he made the universe.” And to think the Creator of all come to this planet as a baby, walked among us for about 33 years, allowed Himself to be mocked and crucified by His own Creation, died, rose again, appeared to many of His followers for 40 days, ascended back to heaven and is going to come again in the future to set all things straight.
As Great as God is, He values you and me greatly. His love is seen in what He has done, is doing and will do. Brother and sister, fellow follower/disciple of Jesus, rejoice that He is mindful of you. Dear Father, I am so grateful that as small and insignificant as I could feel as I look up into the night sky, I know that You love me, care for me and have my best interest in mind. Now, whatever comes, may I trust You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. As Peter said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” and I thank You for that life You have given me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-ajM6XIyZQ&list=RDi-ajM6XIyZQ&start_radio=1
