HE SEES IT ALL!

So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing…” —Genesis 16:13

The Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” —Genesis 18:10

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. —Matthew 6:6

But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. —Matthew 6:17-18

             Are you going through a difficulty?  He sees!  He cares and His desire is to comfort you— “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (II Corinthians 1:3-4).  Receive the comfort of God and then He will work through you to comfort others with the comfort that you received from God.  For now… allow Him to comfort you.

             Yes, God sees it all.  He sees and hears when you pray.  He sees when you fast.  Our God is a God who sees and knows everything and He is deeply concerned and caring toward us.  If we don’t understand this, then we truly have missed why He created man and all of creation.  We truly have missed this if we don’t understand Jesus coming into this world as a baby (astounding), live among fallen man and all of His fallen, sinful creation, then allow sinful man to kill Him on a cross, rise from the dead, appeared to His followers over a period of 40 days, ascend back to heaven and then send His Holy Spirit to live in each of His followers.  Surely, we don’t understand His loving concern and comfort for us if we do not understand all He has done for us.

I thank You, Dear Father, that You know and see everything.  I am grateful for Your comfort and may I seek to comfort others with the comfort You have comforted me with.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
