LORD, TRUSTING WHAT YOU SAY

“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” —I Peter 1:24-25

For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. —Psalm 33:4

             Grass, people, flowers— their glory is fading away, withering and will be no more.  But God’s Word is not like that.  The glory of His Word endures forever.  His Word “is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”  Only our Lord “is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”  That can be said of no other.  Both you and I come far short in this, but how grateful we should be that, when we fall short, He does not.
