BE ON SOLID FOOD, NOT MILK!
We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. —Hebrews 5:11-14
The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? —Psalm 27:1
Are you absolutely sure that “Lord is (your) light and (your) salvation—whom shall (you) fear?” Is the Lord “the stronghold of (your) life— of whom shall (you) be afraid?” Do you have this confidence?
There are some that “it is hard to make it clear to (them) because (they) no longer try to understand.” How sad is that? There are those who are not growing in the Lord and this does not mean that they just plateau in their spiritual journey in Jesus. No,” In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” What do we learn about those who don’t mature in Jesus as they should? They—
- Have a hard time to make things clear to
- No longer understand
- Ought to be teachers by now
- Need to be taught the elementary truths all over again
- Need the milk (easier things) of the Word
- Are still an infant
- Are not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness
- Are not ready for solid food for the mature
- Are not applying God’s Word constantly
- Are not training themselves
- Cannot distinguish good from evil
Again, can you say this with confidence? — “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?” If you do then you should not have to be taught the basics all over again. Dear Father, please help me to continue to mature in Jesus, applying what You are teaching me from Your Word. May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, may it be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRfU2kbBaoU&list=RDzRfU2kbBaoU&start_radio=1
