ONLY GOD IS THE ONE FULLY IN CONTROL!
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. —II Corinthians 11:13-15
Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. —II Corinthians 12:7-9
How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods. Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. —Psalm 4:2-3
Be faithful to our Lord Jesus and He will hear and answer when we call to Him. Beware, fellow followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, of the spiritual warfare we are in. Do not let your guard down (Ephesians 6:10-20). There will be those portraying truth but indeed they are—
- False prophets
- Deceitful workers
- Masquerading as apostles of Christ.
- Masquerade as servants of righteousness
But let us be encouraged. We have “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” and that—
“Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” — Hebrews 4:12-13
Satan may seek to take us down, but we have all that we need to stand against our adversary. We have the Word of God, our Father God, the Son of God, the Spirit of God, the conscience from God, the creation of God and the Church of God. And when Paul mentions that he “was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”
So, take courage fellow followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, Satan cannot do anything to us unless our Lord allows it and God’s grace is always sufficient for us no matter what comes our way. Let us be wise in our understanding of God’s grace and Satan’s schemes for Paul also said— “we are not unaware of his schemes” (II Corinthians 2:11). Please help us, Dear Father, to be aware of Satan’s schemes and rest in Your Grace at all times. Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85I6HI2E4AA&list=RDMM85I6HI2E4AA&start_radio=1
