BE INTENTIONAL IN SHARING THE GOOD NEWS!

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:13-25

Brothers and sisters, fellow followers and disciples of Jesus, do you remember that time when you called on the Lord Jesus to save you from your sin and came into a relationship with Him?  That was just the beginning!  Just as someone or someone came to you to share the gospel, the Word of God, are we going to others?

Those who have “beautiful feet” are those who are bringing the good news to others.  Jesus expected this when He said—

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” —Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus was addressing the eleven disciples when He gave this “co-mission” — Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted” (Matthew 28:16-17).  Disciples are to make disciples.  Even those among the eleven disciples who had doubts were commanded to make disciples.  If you have called on Jesus to save you, then you are commanded to make disciples.  But we can’t do this alone.  First, Jesus said He would be with us until the end of the age.  So Jesus is with us in this disciple making command He gave us.  Also, Jesus gave this command to make disciples to a group, not to just an individual.  So we are to be working with others when we make disciples.

Do you know why the church in the United States is not making disciples?  Because it is not going to people to intentionally share God’s Word with them.  This should be our lifestyle as followers of Jesus because—

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Want beautiful feet?  Then bring the good news to others!  Oh, Dear Father, please move us to regularly share the good news of Jesus with others to make disciples who in turn would make disciples.  Be pleased to move us here in NH and beyond by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus— Yes, may this be so and all for Your honor and glory.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyFNAs2jRjU&list=RDyyFNAs2jRjU&start_radio=1
