JESUS— BELIEVING HIM OR NOT
JESUS— BELIEVING HIM OR NOT
For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God His own Father, making himself equal with God. —John 5:18
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. —John 5:24
You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. —John 5:39-40
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this; to believe in the one he has sent.” —John 6:28-29
For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. —John 6:40
Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. —John 6:47
Of Jesus it said…
- They tried to kill Him because “he was even calling God His own Father, making himself equal with God.”
- That “whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”
- That “the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” Even though they “study the Scriptures diligently because you (they thought) that in them (they had) eternal life.”
- To believe in Him was “The work of God” which is required “to do the works God.”
- That “everyone who looks to the son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day” and that was His “Father’s will.”
- That “the one who believes has eternal life.
We need to understand who Jesus is— He is the Son and equal with God His Father. When we believe in Him we have eternal life and never will never face condemnation. It is God’s Word that testifies about Jesus, yet there are those who study them and refuse to come to Him. But to do the work of God we first need to believe in Him— this is the work of God and the Father’s will is that “everyone who looks to the son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and (Jesus) will raise them up at the last day.” Simply put— everyone who believes in Jesus has eternal life. So… where do you stand— believing in Him or not? Your eternal destiny depends on that answer!
Dear Father, if there are any reading this and have not come to believe in Jesus, may they do so now and call on His Name. Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIaT8Jl2zpI&list=RDQMrl4n9dYR_gc&start_radio=1
