GOD IS THE REVEALER OF ALL THINGS

To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. —Daniel 1:17

            All knowledge comes from God, not just in the case of these four young men, but this is true of all knowledge to all men.  It is God who gives “knowledge and understanding of all kinds…”  Look what He did in Daniel’s life—

“During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.  He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others.  He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.  He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.  I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.” —Daniel 2:19-23

            Daniel understood that it was God that is in control of knowledge and all circumstances.  He is the One Who orders all things.  Daniel knew this.  Do we?  And Daniel also understood it was nothing great about him that these things were revealed to him by God, but it was so “so that Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.”  Yes, Daniel understood that “this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive.”  He understood that it was for God to reveal His purposes.  God does this today.  Let us be expectant that God will work through us, brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus.  Yes, Dear Father, be pleased to do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md6DXRED4IA&list=RDMd6DXRED4IA&start_radio=1
