REDEEMED THROUGH JESUS
REDEEMED THROUGH JESUS
No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them—the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—so that they should live on forever and not see decay…. But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead; he will surely take me to himself. —Psalm 49:7-9, 16
There are those who think they are good enough to get to heaven on their own. That is a fallacy. Then there are those who attend “church” (go to a building called “church”) and think because they do that will get them to heaven. That is a fallacy. Then there are those who are religious and think that will get them to heaven— they do good things, they pray and they may even read their Bible. But that also is a fallacy. There are all kinds of false thinking on how one can know God now and get to heaven after death to be with Him forever in that perfect place.
From a human standpoint— I can do all kinds of “good” things. I can be religious. I can… But none of that in itself makes me fit for heaven. None of that takes care of the SIN problem. Even if everyone who has lived, is living and will live gave themselves as a sacrifice for my sin, that would not even come close to taking care of my SIN problem. “No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them—the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough.” Listen to how valuable one life is! —“the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough.” Here that? —” no payment is ever enough.” You and I can do nothing to take care of our sin problem. No man can take care of our sin problem! So, is there any solution for us— any hope for us? Yes, there is!
What man could not do, God did through His Son Jesus! “But God will redeem me…” How did He do that? How did He take care of my SIN problem?
- “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” —I Peter 1:18-21
- The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” —John 1:29
- “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” —Romans 10:13
- “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 6:23
- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” —John 14:6
- “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” —Acts 4:12
- “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” —John 3:14-15
What man could not do, God did through His Son Jesus. Now, what are you going to do? Stay in your sin and be condemned forever or call on Jesus and be saved from your sin, serve Him now and be with Him forever? Dear Father, for those reading this that have not called on Jesus, may they do so now. For those who have called on Jesus, let us rejoice and be glad! May we also faithfully serve You according to Your desires by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyFNAs2jRjU&list=RDyyFNAs2jRjU&start_radio=1
