FLEE FROM YOUR IDOLS TO JESUS!
FLEE FROM YOUR IDOLS TO JESUS!
For their hearts were devoted to their idols. —Ezekiel 20:16
I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes. —Psalm 36:1
Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!… For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. —Psalm 36:5-7, 9
Now… which camp are you in? Are you in the camp where you are devoted to your idols? An idol is anything that takes precedence over our Lord God Almighty. This could be self, family, job, money, reputation, false religious practices…
Or… are you in the camp of those living under the lovingkindness of our Lord God Almighty, experiencing “the fountain of life” and seeing light in His light or truth in His truth. Our love for God should be the umbrella over everything else in our life. If something else is the umbrella over our lives, then that is an idol— that is what we are worshipping— ascribing worth to over God.
So, which camp are you in? What or who are you truly devoted to? It is our Lord that preserves “both people and animals.” He is the one who knows the number of our days- the day, hour, minute and second, we will depart in death and no longer exist on this planet. “Death is the great equalizer” as someone has said. It matters not who or what you are. You will die and then you will appear before our Lord. Those who have lived for Jesus will appear at the Judgment Seat of Christ to be rewarded as to how they lived (II Corinthians 5:10). There will be no condemnation there because Jesus already took our condemnation. Those who have not lived for Jesus will appear before Him at the White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). All those appearing there will be condemned forever! Let that be a warning. This is eternally serious! Call on Jesus now if you have yet to— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=10s
Dear Father, may any who have yet to call on Jesus do so now. Yes, may this be in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Dear Father, be pleased to draw many to Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI8kmxjzxo0&list=RDPI8kmxjzxo0&start_radio=1
