BRING THE MESSAGE— WHETHER PEOPLE LISTEN OR NOT

BRING THE MESSAGE— WHETHER PEOPLE LISTEN OR NOT!

He said: “Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day. The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious people—they will know that a prophet has been among them. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.” —Ezekiel 2:3-8

Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.” —Ezekiel 3:11

Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. —Psalm 31:3

But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.”  My times are in your hands… —Psalm 31:14-15

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. —Psalm 31:24

Our Lord has sent us to bring His message to the people of our day as He sent Ezekiel in his day.  We are to bring the message our Lord has given us.  Yes, as our Father sent Jesus into the world so Jesus now sends us into the world (John 17:18).  Why? Because there are those who will believe through our message (John 17:20).  So we are to go, whether people listen or not, but there will be those who will listen.  So, “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”  May we also say, “But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.”  My times are in your hands.”  And I trust that “Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.”

So, brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, let us be faithful and bring the message to people that our Lord has given to us— whether they listen or not.  We are responsible to our Lord to do what He desires of us.  Others who hear are responsible with what they do with the message of Jesus we bring.  So, let us be faithful.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, and may this be all for Your honor and glory! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqWYSyDZYIg&list=RDEqWYSyDZYIg&start_radio=1
