BEWARE!  RUIN AWAITS THE PRIDEFUL

A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord. —Proverbs 19:3

Haughty eyes and a proud heart— the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin. —Proverbs 21:4

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. —Proverbs 21:30

            The foolishness or folly of a person leads to their own ruin.  How utterly so when a person thinks or says in his heart, “There is no God” (Psalm 14:1).  Many times these people’s “heart rages against the Lord.”  Even though it is their own actions that bring about their ruin, they are angry at Him for what has happened to them.  They will say God does not care when in reality, it is they who do not care about Him.

            People’s prideful view on life is a heart issue.  Their focus is on their own desires and do not allow the Lord to guide their life.  They would rather produce a life of sin rather than humbly receiving help and guidance from the Lord.

            Understand this, “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.”  Why would a person not want to align with Him?  It is the same problem that began in the Garden of Eden— man wants to do what he wants to do regardless of what the Lord desires him to be and do.

            In the end, our Lord will have His way.  “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.”  It would be best for us to seek His wisdom, to desire His insight and to live according to His plan.  Otherwise, ruin is in our future… eternal ruin.  Oh, Dear Father, may I seek to live faithfully for You and may others reading this seek to live faithfully for You as well.  May this be by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may this be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLDEt9KP2O0&list=RDBLDEt9KP2O0&start_radio=1
