TRUST OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY TO WORK HIS WORK THROUGH YOU

TRUST OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY TO WORK HIS WORK THROUGH YOU

All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him. —I Samuel 22:2

So David and his men, about six hundred in number, left Keilah and kept moving from place to place. When Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah, he did not go there. —I Samuel 23:13

Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you. —Psalm 84:12

David trusted the Lord, even when he was on the run to keep away from Saul who was trying to kill him.  David became the commander of those “who were in distress or in debt or discontented.”  That is quite a group of people to be head of!  That number of David’s followers grew from 400-600 in a short span.  Our Lord God Almighty is not hindered from accomplishing His purposes and He can work through anyone to do so.

As David trusted the Lord in difficult circumstances, so we too need to trust our Lord when things are difficult.  We live in a fallen world and difficult things occur.  Even so, “Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.”  So let us do so as we walk through this day.  Yes, Dear Father, who in heaven do we have but You?  Who else are we going to trust?  Oh, that I would trust You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqWYSyDZYIg
