PUT YOUR TRUST IN OUR LORD
PUT YOUR TRUST IN OUR LORD
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? —Psalm 56:3-4
In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me? —Psalm 56:10-11
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” —Hebrews 13:6
When you fear a job loss, a friendship loss, a health loss, a financial loss, a situation, a conversation, a conflict… What do you do? “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” That is what we should do! We should put our trust in the One who knows all things and “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). Let us trust Him who is working for our good, “for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Let us praise His Name, the One in Whose Word we trust and can trust fully all the time.
So yes, we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” How is that type of confidence in our Lord seen in our lives? Our Lord has promised to be our helper right to the end of the age or the end of our lives on earth (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:). “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Will we put our full trust in Him? May it be so! Yes, Dear Father, may I trust You fully and may this be in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, may this be so and all for your honor and glory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG0jfwYRNiQ
