HE KNOWS YOU— HE FORGIVES!

HE KNOWS YOU— HE FORGIVES!

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. —Hebrews 4:12-16

You are known.  God’s Word is not just a book.  No, His Word “living and active.”  It is “sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”  His Word penetrates into the deepest recesses of our being.  His Word discerns even “the thoughts and intentions of our heart.”  He is the only One who can do this as “no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”  Think of that! The Psalmist says of Him that “even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you” (Psalm139:12).  There are no shadows to hide in— physically or mentally— “no creature is hidden from His sight!”

He sees all and He knows all… and… He does not forget.  How fortunate for us that—

“He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.  The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.  But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.” —Psalm 103:10-18

We will give an account to Him.  A person can say that they won’t give an account to Him, but death proves that everybody will.  Death occurs because of the sin that entered this world— “And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” (Genesis 2:16-17).  Yes, we will give account to Him so “let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”  Praise God that His Son, Jesus, sympathizes with us!  “For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans 8:3).  Astounding! — “God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21).  So then, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Praise our Lord God Almighty! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weMoSoqvgQo

Thank You, Dear Father, and my desire is to live faithfully for You and to accomplish the work You have given me to do.  May I do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may this be so!
