RUN FAITHFULLY!
RUN FAITHFULLY!
And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful. —Titus 3:13
Jesus “gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works” (Titus 2:14). After all “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10). From these verses we learn—
- We were created in Jesus to do good works— so once you/me called on Jesus we are to be about the work that God has for us.
- God prepared these works for us in advance
- These works are for us specifically
- We are to be devoted to this work He has for us
- We are to be zealous for this work He has for us
- We are help in cases of urgent need
- We are to be fruitful in these works
And “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” So “let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2) until we rest from our labor. Yes, may this be so.
The question is— Are we being faithful in the work God has called us to? Oh, that we are! Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhk_5c6H-yc
