LIVING TO PLEASE OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

LIVING TO PLEASE OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

But you, O LORD, know me; you see me, and test my heart toward you. —Jeremiah 12:3

I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. — Chronicles 29:17

Who are you?  Are you the same on the outside as you are on the inside?  Do you try to portray yourself on the outside as someone you really are not on the inside?  We are all in the process of transformation, but do we seek to be real, transparent?  Do people see the real you that God sees?

Yes, our Lord knows us better than anyone else.  He sees our “heart.”  He tests our “heart” to see if we are really committed to Him.  This is what happened in Job’s case in the book of Job, but God already knew Job who was— “Then the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil’” (Job 1:8).  I have often thought— “How would my Lord describe me?”  How would He describe you?

Yes, Our Lord God Almighty tests our hearts and is pleased with integrity.  Are you, am I a person of integrity?  Do we seek to be honest and reliable in our “hearts,” the inner man, as well as the outer man?

So, who are we living to please— God or man?

“This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.” –I John 3:19-24

What does our “heart” tell us as He tests us?  Oh, Dear Father, may I be living to please You above all else.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may this be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVEHBU8oUGE
