SOLID FOUNDATION IN THIS FADING WORLD

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has stumbled in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter. —Isaiah 59:14

For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste. —Isaiah 60:12

It is so sad that the obvious truth is not obvious to so many today.  Justice is turned back as many get away with atrocious crimes.  Righteousness seems far away and truth surely has stumbled in the public square and uprightness is not allowed to enter.  Wickedness seeks to rule the land.  From the human standpoint, it is a sad time.  But God is not hindered and His plans and purposes will be carried out— and are being carried out.

            Nations need to realize, should realize, but won’t that “the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste.”  That is a warning, but nations will not heed that warning and so they go the way of the world. 

            Oh, fellow followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters, we look to “a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them” (Hebrews 11:16).  The best is yet to come and let us not get distracted from all that is happening in this world.  Keep focused on our Lord’s desires and be faithful in the race marked out for you (Hebrews 12:1-2), keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus!  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May we bring honor and glory to You as we wait for You. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqWYSyDZYIg
