GOD’S WORD ENDURES FOREVER!

All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.  The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them.  Surely the people are grass.  The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. —Isaiah 40:6-8

            We look at all that is happening in our world today and wonder where it will all go.  Well, one thing is for certain.  One thing is for sure and that is that all people will die.  That is one thing we all have in common.  Our lives are brief— like grass or flowers that last for only a short season and then are gone.  So all people living today, or at any time, are here for a short season and then are gone.

            I open up the Word of God and that is very stable and dependable.  It was written down by Moses about 3500 years ago.  This is history.  The prime minister for Israel just mentioned Moses on the news yesterday.  These are real people and real places.  Yes, we can depend fully on the Word of God and let us do so!  Yes, Dear Father, in a world that not much is dependable and enduring, thank You for Your Word that will endure forever.  It has endured for 3500 years in written form and in verbal form from eternity past.  Now, may I faithfully follow Your Word by Your Holy Spirit’s power and in the authority of Your Son.  Yes, may it be so and all for Your honor and glory!  Third Day [Feat.
