JUDGMENT WILL COME!

For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. —Isaiah 34:8

            This has been true in the past and has not changed.  There are those who think God is done with the nation of Israel.  As I read the Word of God, and not filtering it through some man-made theological system, I cannot agree with that idea.  It surely looks plain to me that our Lord will be working in and through that nation still.

            Be sure of this, there is a day coming when our Lord will carry out His vengeance as He has told us— “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord” (Romans 12:19).  We should never seek to avenge ourselves.  We can trust our Lord God Almighty to do that in His time.

            There are differences of belief among those who follow Jesus, but I will stick with what God says in His Word.  It seems clear to me that He has not finished working in and through Israel.  Keep a close eye on what is happening today.  How is our Lord God working for Israel today— this tiny nation the size of New Jersey?
