LIVE FEARLESSLY, TRUSTING HIM TO FINISH HIS WORK INTENDED FOR YOU!

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the LORD! —Isaiah 31:1

For the LORD is our judge; the LORD is our lawgiver; the LORD is our king; he will save us. —Isaiah 33:22

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. —Philippians 1:6

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. —Philippians 1:21-24

So we think the military can save us?  Well, our Lord God Almighty can work through anything to save or defeat a people.  Look at Gideon.  He started out with 32,000 men to go into battle and our Lord had him cut that number to 300 men.  God could have given him the victory with 32,000 men, but instead He gave him victory with 300 men.  This was to show that the victory was of God and not of man.  So, let trust in our Lord for the victories He desires to give us.  He alone is our perfect judge.  He alone is our perfect lawgiver.  He alone is our perfect King!  “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:7).

We need not doubt this as a follower of Jesus— “that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”  We can absolutely count on Him to accomplish what He desires in our own lives and in the lives of others.  So, let us live like Paul did and live for Jesus.  Is that what we are doing?  Are we living for Him in such a way to see death as “gain?”  As long as Paul was “in the flesh” he said that is for “fruitful labor.”  He would rather “depart” (die) and be with Jesus.  Is that our desire?  But Paul also knew “to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.”  Life for Paul was about encouraging others in their “progress and joy in the faith.”  Is that our goal?  Oh, Dear Father, may that be our life— to encourage others in their “progress and joy” in their faith in God.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLX83HbefrI&list=RDFLX83HbefrI&start_radio=1
