 STAND FIRM IN FAITH

If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all. —Isaiah 7:9

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. —Hebrews 11:6

            We need to be firm in faith because Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12).  Isn’t that amazing!  If we are firm in our faith in our Lord Jesus, not only will we stand, but He will do even greater things through us than He Himself did.  This is utterly amazing.

            We need to stand firm in faith because this is what pleases God because we “believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”  His Creation communicates; indeed, it declares His existence (Psalm 19:1-6; Romans 1:18-20).  His Son, Jesus, came to show us His existence (John 14:1-11).  We have His Word which is enough to establish faith (John 20:30-31; Romans 10:17).  He has given us His Spirit to guide us into all truth (John 16:13).  There is no reason that a person cannot be firm in his faith in God, His Son Jesus and His Holy Spirit— unless they have no faith.  And if they have no faith then it is impossible to please God.  So let us have faith— believe and trust in Him.  Yes, Dear Father, may it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsQmsEE_2-s
