SPIRIT REVEALED GIFTEDNESS FOR THE COMMON GOOD

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. —I Corinthians 12:7

All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. —I Corinthians 12:11

 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. —I Corinthians 12:18

            The Holy Spirit of God is revealed in the giftedness of each member in the body of Christ for the common good of all.  Whatever gift of gifts you or I may have, they are not for ourselves, but for the good of others.  So, am I, are you, using our God given, Spirit revealing, spiritual gift for the common good of others?  How?

            This is not something we are doing on our own.  No, our giftedness from God is empowered by His Holy Spirit according to His will.  We do not serve in our own strength, but His.  It is God who has “arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.”  Remember that— God chose me and you and arranged us in the body according to His purposes.  So, let us be faithful and serve with the gift or gifts He has given us where He has placed us.  Yes, may we be faithful in this! 

So may it be, Dear Father, that we are grateful and faithful with Your desires for us.  Thank You for who You made me to be and what You have called me to do.  May I clearly see Your desires for me and then faithfully live out those desires of You have for me by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQd3K2Fxp4
