WE RECEIVED THE SPIRIT OF GOD

WE RECEIVED THE SPIRIT OF GOD

What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. —I Corinthians 2:12

We have not received the “spirit of the world.”  That “spirit of the world” is “The god of this age” who “has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (II Corinthians 4:4).  All those who have this “spirit of world” are under the “power of Satan” (Acts 26:18) and are in the “dominion of darkness” (Colossians 1:13), the Satanic kingdom (Luke 11:18).  These in that kingdom need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:2).

Praise the Lord!  We are not in that kingdom, but when we believed on the Lord Jesus and called on His Name to be saved, then—

“The Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” —Colossians 1:12-14

Praise the Lord, brother and sister, fellow followers of Jesus because our Father has “brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”  This is “a kingdom that cannot be shaken” (Hebrews 12: 28).  This is the kingdom that we belong to and “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”  The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain” (Hebrews 12:26-27).

Brother and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, we are safe and secure in Jesus because even when “the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).  The Holy Spirit of God enables us to understand that our Great God has freely bestowed salvation on every person who has called on the Name of Jesus to be saved (Romans 10:13).  We understand that this is free, but it was at great cost to our Lord.  When we understand this, it is out of deep gratitude and thanksgiving that we want to live for Him to honor Him.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS1ndKgU36I

Oh, and may this be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may this be so!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=10s
