GOD SETS BOUNDARIES
GOD’S SET BOUNDARIES
Yours is the day, yours also the night; you have established the heavenly lights and the sun. You have fixed all the boundaries of the earth; you have made summer and winter. —Psalm 74:16-17
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. —Acts 17:24-27
God is the boundary setter. He set the boundary for the day and He did so for the night as well. Afterall…
“God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day. —Genesis 1:14-19
Where did darkness come from? Where did light come from? Let someone try to explain that without considering it was God who made darkness and light. Their imagination would have to kick in to try to explain it.
God sets other boundaries as well. He sets the boundaries of when and where nations will be and He sets the boundaries of our existence— when we will be born and when we will die. He does this both for individuals and nations. God does all of this so we would acknowledge Him, call on Jesus to be saved from our sin and live for Him.
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. —Romans 1:18-20
There is absolutely no excuse for not believing in God as Creator and Sustainer of life. Jesus— is the Creator.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” —John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15-18; Hebrews 1:1-3
It would be wise for people to acknowledge God, call on Jesus and be saved from their sin and judgment to come. Dear Father, if any are reading this and they have not called on Jesus, may they do so now by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus. So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=god%27s+answer+for+man+-+the+lamb
